In order of how often it’s asked:
Platform & infrastructure
- Kubernetes: setting up, running, or taking over an existing cluster.
- Migrations: managed K8s to bare-metal or on-prem, and back.
- GitOps with ArgoCD: from loose YAML to a clean app-of-apps structure.
- Proxmox virtualisation: for when Kubernetes is overkill — more often than you’d think.
Compliance
- Existing controls under critical review: drop what doesn’t work, capture what does.
- No paperwork for paperwork’s sake — documentation follows practice, not the other way around.
- Agentic handiwork where it fits: RCAs, non-conformities and audit trail automated where it can be, human-in-the-loop where it must be.
Open source & funding
- NLnet NGI Zero applications, written and shepherded.
- Innovation Budget Digital Government and similar programmes.
- WBSO (Dutch R&D tax credit): technical substantiation that survives the RVO review.
- Code and proposal hand in hand — no fair-weather deliverables.
How I work
By the day, by the project, or interim. Remote from North Holland, on site when needed.
I think, I test, I do. For code: spec-driven development.
